Mission

ProYouth's mission is to help youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by providing a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment during out-of-school time.

After School Expanded Learning Programs

ProYouth provides comprehensive expanded learning programs at the elementary, middle, and high school sites throughout Tulare and Monterey Counties. We provide services from the time school is out, until 6:00 in the evening. Our programs are funded by a combination of California’s After School Education and Safety (ASES) grants, federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants, school district investments, and foundation and corporate contributions. Our proven approach creates a positive learning environment that integrates youth development principles, provides academic support, and focuses on innovative project-based learning experiences.

The HEART Program

Serving students from kindergarten to fifth grade, HEART offers a high-quality learning environment that supports day school goals through experiential learning opportunities. HEART emphasizes the importance of literacy development and assessment, along with healthy behavior practices by embedding them in each pathway program and the culture of each site.

If you would like your student to be a part of the HEART program and learn more about their program, please visit their website at https://www.proyouthexpandedlearning.org/edge-program, fill out the application and turn into the HEART staff on your student’s campus. Enrollment is limited to a first-come, first-served basis. After receiving all completed forms, the Site Director will call to let you know if your student will be in the program and the day he/she will start.
